Saturday, November 10th, 2007If you throw many sports-themed parties, you’ll definitely appreciate the Ballpark Party Combo. While it’s definitely fancier than the average nuts and beer and wings event, it’s not so out of the ordinary that you’re likely to get kicked out for the suggestion.
The set serves 6, although I’d be a little more conservative than that if you’re dealing with typical men. In my experience, men watching sports consume at least double the recommended serving sizes. It’s reasonably affordable, though, so that’s probably not a big deal for the main event of the season. You know at least as much is spent on beer.
Rustic Fall Collection
Saturday, November 10th, 2007Since everyone I know is going away for Thanksgiving, I’m having a pre-Thanksgiving bash next week. While I typically have more than enough time to prepare great appetizers, entrees, and treats, this year is going to be the exception. In fact, I’ll be lucky to make it home on time, given the traffic. I’ll probably end up getting a rush order of this Rustic Fall Collection, though, because it’s simple enough that I can let the significant other prepare them while I’m still in traffic.
Beyond that, though, they’re perfect for any holiday party, whether it’s with your family, friends, or co-workers. They’re a little pricy, but definitely worth it for the amazing impression they make.

Sunday, November 4th, 2007Sometimes, you need to make an amazing impression. That’s exactly what this Corporate Elite wine gift basket does. From the rich-looking bamboo trunk to the velvet wine sack, this one screams first-class. I’d use this for getting in someone’s good graces, or possibly to impress someone’s parents.
It’s also a pleasant departure from the classic strawberries and champagne on the bed in the hotel room. Not that there’s ANYTHING wrong with the strawberries and champagne. In fact, maybe you should just get both.
Mushroom Caps
Sunday, November 4th, 2007I’ve always been a big fan of Mushroom Caps, but I hate the amount of work involved in stuffing them and cooking them. Usually, the time that I want them is when I’m already busy planning a party. To combat that problem, you can simply order your stuffed mushrooms in advance and heat them when you need them. At $59, they’re a little pricy, but it really isn’t that bad when you compare what you’d spend with a caterer. Plus, this way you get 3 different varieties.
Gourmet Mac and Cheese
Friday, August 3rd, 2007If you don’t love Mac & Cheese, you’re probably not human. That’s a fact. That’s why I think this Gourmet Mac and Cheese gift is such a great idea. It’s great as an appetizer for parties, or as an apartment-warming gift for a college student or new grad, or as a comfort food fod someone that’s sick…I could go on all day.
My only complaint is that it’s not a HUGE quantity. If you wanted to cater your daughter’s slumber party, you’re probably going to need at least 2-3 of the $29.90 3-packs. Flavors included are: Canandian Farmhouse Cheddar, 4-Cheese and Carmelized Onion, Truffle, Bacon and Brie. Yummy!
