Edible Gifts for Men
Monday, December 29th, 2008Men can be difficult to shop for, especially when they already have everything they want - a great sound system, an Xbox 360, a Blu-Ray player, and so on. That’s why I usually skip the electronics and buy food for the men in my life. I know Christmas is over, but Valentine’s Day is coming up, and nothing says love like a giant bowl of cheese spread or a hulking sausage basket. To give you some ideas, I’ve included a few good selections below:

Fancy Mixed Nuts, Natural Wisconsin Cheese, and Cheese Spreads - Wisconsin Cheeseman
Price: $21.99
The quality is exceptional! Pecans, Filberts, Cashews, Almonds, and Brazil Nuts, all fresh roasted and salted plus cuts of natural cheese and cheese spreads in an attractive 2 piece golden gift box. Net wt. 1 lb. 10 oz.

The Finest Things Gift Basket: Cheese Spreads, Sausages, Pecanbacks & More - Wisconsin Cheeseman

Bacon Cheddar Cheese Spread in a Cobalt Blue Crock - 8 oz. - Wisconsin Cheeseman

Farmhouse favorites for generations! The richness of Cheddar in a golden, buttery-smooth cheese spread to thickly layer on crackers, bagels, or even just a spoon. Packed in sparkling cobalt blue stoneware crocks.

4-Pack of Beer Flavored Wisconsin Cheese Spread - Wisconsin Cheeseman
Price: $17.99
Hoist a can of Special Pilsner, Munich Dark, Bavarian Lager and Wisconsin Amber. These tasty 3.75 ounce Beer Cheese Spreads are made with our own cheese and Capital Brewery micro-brews right here in Wisconsin. Cleverly packaged for gift-giving.
Wheel…of…Fortune - Of Cheese?
Friday, February 29th, 2008Whether you’re hosting a party or just buying a gift for a cheese lover, this Cheese Wheel of Good Fortune is perfect. If you like cheese at all, there’s bound to be something that you like in the set. For $26, you get over a dozen different cheese and a reusable woven trivet for later.
With that much cholesterol in one gift set, you might want to look into life insurance quotes to go with the gift set.
Gourmet Mac and Cheese
Friday, August 3rd, 2007If you don’t love Mac & Cheese, you’re probably not human. That’s a fact. That’s why I think this Gourmet Mac and Cheese gift is such a great idea. It’s great as an appetizer for parties, or as an apartment-warming gift for a college student or new grad, or as a comfort food fod someone that’s sick…I could go on all day.
My only complaint is that it’s not a HUGE quantity. If you wanted to cater your daughter’s slumber party, you’re probably going to need at least 2-3 of the $29.90 3-packs. Flavors included are: Canandian Farmhouse Cheddar, 4-Cheese and Carmelized Onion, Truffle, Bacon and Brie. Yummy!
Cheese Basket for Alcoholics & Others
Tuesday, July 10th, 2007It’s not often that a cheese basket gets me this excited, but the Alcohol Kissed Cheese Basket is definitely worthy of attention. At $129, it’s not exactly a gift for your casual friends, but if you’re out to impress your favorite cheese lover, this basket will do the trick. Just look at what’s included:
* Whiskey Cheddar
* Brillo Pecorino DiVino
* Winey Blue
* Chicken Normandy Terrine with Calvados
* Irish Mustards
* Mimosa Jelly
* Ah! Some Chocolates - 4 Piece Assortment
* Schlünder Liqueur Cake
* Flambar Pineapples in Gin:
* Vino de Milo All Natural Simmer Sauces
While I could do without the Mimosa Jelly (probably not bad, but I’d be forever picturing the actual Mimosa Tree), the rest sounds divine. I’m a sucker for good cheese, though.
