The Wolfgang Puck Coffee Gift Basket
Friday, February 8th, 2008If you know a coffee lover, this French Press Basket might just be the perfect gift. It comes with a coffee press and Wolfgang Puck coffee, along with a bunch of other treats like biscotti and cookies. At $44.95, it’s a great, moderately-priced gift basket that would work well for both business associates and friends.

Top 5 Coffee Gifts and Coffee Gift Baskets of 2007
Friday, December 14th, 2007 Food and Candy GiftsWhile I’m not a huge coffee drinker, my father is a huge fan, and I’ve gotten pretty good at figuring out which coffee gifts impress and which will get the polite, “This is really nice,” line. So, without further ado, the list - My selections for the best coffee gifts and coffee gift baskets for 2007.
1. Coffees of the World Gift Basket - This $119.99 gift basket gives you nearly 7 pounds of coffee from around the world. This basket tells your recipient that you thought enough of him or her to pick something that’s a far cry from the discount store baskets with “assorted coffee” of unknown origin.
2. Frango Coffee Assortment - There used to be a fantastic department store called Marshall Fields. Then, they were purchased by Macy’s and now they’re just Macy’s stores. Fortunately, though, they kept the best part of the Marshall Fields tradition - the Frango products. The mints are amazing, but this post isn’t about mints so we’ll focus on the coffee instead. I can’t imagine that it would be anything but divine, given that it bears the Frango name. Note: this one appears to be sold out at the moment, but if you enter “Frango Coffee” in the search bar, it will take you to a similar arrangement.
3. The Coffeehouse - I can’t decide if this basket is more retro or European - or maybe retro-European - but I like it. At $29.95, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better presentation.
4. The Boca Java Coffee Club - Their online reviews are consistently positive and they offer a ton of cool flavors and free gifts. At just $22.90 (including shipping), you may be inclined to splurge and hook yourself up, too.
5. Breakfast Gift Tray with Assorted Starbucks® Coffee Blends - I know the true coffee lovers may flip out at the suggestion that Starbucks is good coffee, but they’re one of the biggest chains for a reason. Whether you like it or not, most people do. At $29.96, it’s not a bad deal at all.
Your caffeine-addicted friends, associates, and family members will definitely appreciate your gift of coffee. It’s a lot better than sending them to drug rehabilitation for their caffeine issues.
Boca Java Holiday Coffee Gifts
Sunday, December 2nd, 2007They say that coffee is one of six drinks that changed the world. Beer, wine, hard liquor, tea, cola, and coffee are beverages that have driven great profits, changed lifestyles, and lead to war. When you think about it that way, the gift or purchase of coffee takes on a whole new significance.
If you or someone you know is new to coffee or just hoping to experiment a bit, the Boca Java Connoisseur Club is perfect. For $14.95 plus shipping, you get a great coffee sampler plus a free gift. If you love it, great. You stay in the club. If you don’t, then you are that much closer to finding the cofee you DO like - and you just cancel the membership. At those prices, it’s definitely worth a shot. The same amount of money won’t go nearly as far at your local Starbucks. I’m pretty sure that every one of my caffeine-addicted co-workers could use this as a form of drug treatment.
Starbucks Blade Grinder
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007If you know any coffee fans, but you’re tired of getting them actual coffee for Christmas, consider getting them a Starbucks Barista Blade Grinder. It’s sleek and stylish, functional, and very affordable at around $30.
I’ll admit, I’ve never been a huge Starbucks fan, but you don’t have to be to enjoy this grinder. It will let you enjoy total freshness from whatever brand you opt for.
The Gift of Summer Coffee
Wednesday, July 11th, 2007With the possible exception of iced coffee drinks, most people don’t think of summer and coffee at the same time. It’s just too warm. That hasn’t stopped Boca Java from coming up with a great summer coffee gift basket, though. Instead of the usual heavy coffee gift basket stuff, this one has an iced sugar cookie, two summer coffees, a mug, and flavored swizzle sticks. They also give you the choice between whole bean and pre-ground coffee in the gift set, which is a relatively rare occurrence.
